
LIGHT & SOUND FILM SCORING is a New York based film composing duo comprised of Manhattan Camerata's Artistic Director, Lucía Caruso and NYU professor of composition and film scoring, Pedro H. da Silva. Their previous experiences include recording two film scores for Oscar-winning director Michel Gondry (“Be Kind Rewind,” and “Interior Design” from the “Tokyo” triptych). Together, they also composed a full album of chamber and orchestral pieces which was recorded at the legendary Abbey Road Studio 1 with the London Metropolitan Orchestra. They are composers in residence with the Orchestra of the Swan in Stratford-Upon-Avon, have performed with the Pittsburgh Symphony, Philharmonic Orchestra of the Americas, Cheltenham Symphony Orchestra, and collaborated with members of the New York Philharmonic, Metropolitan Opera, Academy of St. Martin in the Fields. and the London Symphony Orchestra. Naxos Records nominated The Manhattan Camerata's latest album, Tango Fado Project, for the Official Grammy 2017 Selection. Their nominated categories included “Best New Artist," “Producer of the Year,” "Best World Music Album," “Best Engineered Album," and four songs were nominated for "Best Composition/Arrangement." The ensemble most recently won Best Instrumental Performance at the prestigious 2017 International Portuguese Music Awards.
